About: The project was undertaken as a part of my MA Service Design course at the RCA. It was an interdisciplinary project with a team of students from the School of Design. The Grand Challenge gives postgraduate designers the opportunity to work together across a range of disciplines – including Design Products, Fashion, Global Innovation Design, Innovation Design Engineering, Intelligent Mobility, Service Design and Textiles- in partnership with UNESCO-IOC.

Led user interviews and expert interviews with Borough representatives
Mapped the stakeholder map and user journey to identify pain points
Worked on the final design prototype

Learnings
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Integrating diverse perspectives and expertise from various design disciplines (Design Products, Fashion, Global Innovation Design, Innovation Design Engineering, Intelligent Mobility, and Textiles) to create a cohesive and innovative project.
Contextual Studies & User Study: Understanding the locational as well as user context to understand the needs of the community required through desk and user research, which helped to build a holistic concept.
Challenges
Limited Time Frame: The project duration was 3 months which was limited to undergo through research, ideation and concept development.
Engaging with the Community: Since the project required to understand the communitities relationship with the reservoir, it was dificult to reach out to people and organisations keen to collaborate in the project.
